  4. Niccole Barnes: National Programs Specialist

Starting in 2005, after graduating with a B.A. in Business Management with a focus on Finance, Niccole Barnes started her insurance career at a Capitol Special Risks, a Professional Liability Wholesaler, focusing on hard to place risks. Niccole worked with CSRisks for 10 years as a Senior Account Executive in charge of the Home Inspector E&O program with Lloyd’s of London, United National Specialty and multiple other carriers. After leaving CSRisks, Niccole moved to BNK Insurance Services, a Managing General Agency, representing Hartford and their Home Inspector Errors & Omissions program before joining the EliteMGA team.

Niccole earned the designation, Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU), through the Professional Liability Underwriter’s Society. In the US, the Registered Professional Liability Underwriter (RPLU) is considered to be the only professional designation exclusively for people in the professional liability industry. Nationally, there are only 2,200 professionals who have earned this designation. Niccole also earned the designation of Customer Insurance Sales Representative (CISR) and the Property & Casualty License necessary for all agents. From being Rookie of the Year, Employee of the Year and recognized as a leader in the field, Niccole strives to continue to learn and understand the trends of the insurance industry.

Outside of insurance, Niccole loves college football, specifically the SEC and the University of Georgia. Go DAWGS! I’m an avid reader, love to bowl and love to cook. And best of all, I really do enjoy my job!

[What attracted you to Elite MGA?]

I’ve known Elite MGA as a competitor for years along getting to know Ben Garrison and Dave Moncavage at numerous trade shows. Elite MGA is the only company I feel really has a grasp on the Home Inspector industry and is willing to change with industry trends faster than other carriers. The policy is comprehensive and able to meet a wide arrange of coverage needs, making Elite a one stop shop. The people are fantastic to work with and extremely innovative, something the insurance industry needs more of.

[Any key relationships you’ve helped build?]

Luckily, I have had the benefit of getting to know and work with some of the best in the industry. At previous companies, I have built some great, long lasting relationships with many of the members of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors) along with multiple franchises, from Pillar to Post, BrickKicker and World Inspection Network International.

[How do you stand out from other brokers?]

Unlike a lot of local, independent insurance agents and brokers, I’ve specialized in the Home Inspection industry for over 14 years. Being able to understand what risks home inspectors face and how to adequately cover them, is a huge benefit for our clients. I also like to think I can easily help inspectors actually understand their insurance in a way that isn’t daunting. I want each client to know they aren’t just a premium, but a business partner.
